What a great day! We had 21 bikes and 28 people turned up for a bit of a chilly start which progressed to an awesome day. We left Macca’s, up to the freeway and turned off at Morisset where we met our other soon to be ride leader, Mr and Mrs Hobbit. Then down through Cooranbong to pick up Shaz, and bugger me! Jenny really made her presence known. Well done Jen! Glad you are alright and no damage done.
Up to Freemans for a quick stop then on to Kurri, over Mt Sugarloaf, Minmi, Fletcher, through to Stockton Bridge and on to the Café at Fighter World.Here we were supposed to have a quick coffee, but we found the slowest coffee machine on earth and some people missed out.( My apologies to those guys, but I did ring and pre warn the owners of numbers to no avail.)
Glen took over the helm for the remainder of the ride through Raymond terrace and the back way around Maitland to Kurri where we had a scrumptious lunch and beers and laughs. What a brilliant pub! Billy and Dianne Metcalf are the owners and I will definitely going back there. We’ve booked a date for a pub stay there on 21st of November and I reckon it will be an awesome night. They are organizing entertainment for us, and brekkie is included.
Well done young Mr Hobbit, and I hope you can help with more rides in the future. We had 5 new members turn up, and I’m pretty sure they’ll be back for more adventures with us. I hope to see you all again on our next ride. Malcolm was our tail end Charlie, and proved to be a worthy participant in the making. Thanks Mal! Thanks to all you guys who came along, it makes all our work and organizing worth while just to hear the laughs.
